Stacey Pelinka

Flute

Stacey Pelinka enjoys performing a broad spectrum of classical music, especially contemporary chamber music. She is a longtime member of the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble, and a founding member of the Eco Ensemble, resident at UC Berkeley and CNMAT.

Stacey plays principal flute with San Francisco Opera’s Merola Program productions, and in addition to the Santa Rosa Symphony, is a member of the Berkeley Symphony, the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, and the Midsummer Mozart Festival. As a freelancer, she performs with the San Francisco Symphony and Opera as well as other Bay Area ensembles.

Stacey is a certified practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method® of movement education, and her flute teaching has a strong somatic focus. She taught Feldenkrais classes for many years to the musicians of the San Francisco Symphony, and currently teaches flute at UC Davis and UC Berkeley.

A native of the Bay Area, Stacey attended Cornell University and the San Francisco Conservatory, where she studied with Timothy Day.
