Santa Rosa Symphony Aspirante Youth Orchestra

COVID UPDATE

With the availability of vaccines for people 5 and older, and proven health and safety protocols, the Institute is returning to in-person rehearsals for all of our ensembles. Please see this page for more health and safety information. Updated as of December 20, 2021.

Founded in 1994 as the Discovery Orchestra under the baton of William R. Williams, the ensemble was renamed the Repertory Orchestra in 2011, and then again renamed the Santa Rosa Symphony Aspirante Youth Orchestra in 2018.

The Santa Rosa Symphony Aspirante Youth Orchestra expands the musical experience by providing an opportunity for intermediate to advanced students to perform a wide variety of repertoire within a full orchestra. Aspirante Youth Orchestra members are expected to have private instruction on their instrument and follow a regular practice routine. To qualify, students must have been playing their instrument a minimum of three years and have prior ensemble experience at least one year in the Debut Youth Orchestra or the equivalent. Approximate age of orchestra members is 12-18 years.
