About the Concert

Pioneering visionary David Krakauer offers the world premiere of his Klezmer Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra, an extraordinary musical collaboration with Kathleen Tagg, comprising songs of life and death from Eastern Europe’s Ashkenazi Jews. Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s beloved Scheherazade spins a seductive web of beguiling tales of exotic adventure and enchantment inspired by One Thousand and One Arabian Nights.
"Masterful technique . . . boatloads of pure adrenaline . . . like a roaring free jazz solo, laced with virtuosic multiphonics . . . " — The Boston Globe
