2016 - 2017

In this annual holiday choral concert, we experience once again the power of the human voice to move and inspire us. This year, Maestro Ferrandis has chosen two elegant and moving works by Sergei Rachmaninoff—his choral symphony The Bells and the hauntingly beautiful Vocalise for soprano and orchestra. The meditative tone-poem Prayer Bells by Augusta Read Thomas and Elgar’s familiar Enigma Variations provide an orchestral contrast to these expressive vocal works.
