I hope you and your loved ones continue to stay safe and well in these challenging times. I'm finding hope and comfort in continuing to look ahead to the fall. Whether it's reading the latest studies on how to keep musicians safe on stage, researching the online activities of orchestras around the world, or interviewing film directors, there is plenty keeping me and the SRS staff busy! I hope you've been able to keep up with my Spotify playlists on the bottom of the Symphony's Stay Connected page, which I update weekly. Our Young People's Chamber Orchestra director Aaron Westman, this week, introduced me to the music of Marianna Martines, a contemporary of Mozart. I hope you are as delighted as I was by her symphony, which I included in the playlists.
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm! I've so enjoyed "seeing" you on Monday mornings and Thursday evenings on my Facebook/YouTube videos (see info below). If you haven't yet joined us, be sure to come hang out with our fun, passionate, online music community!
With all my best wishes,
Francesco |

Summer Music Academy lifts spirits and skills
Students from around the county are gaining and improving musical abilities, getting much-needed interaction with their peers, and learning teamwork and life skills at Summer Music Academy. The three-week day camp, which has served young Sonoma County musicians for nearly 30 years, continues through this week at Sonoma Academy in Santa Rosa. |
