Rafael Negrete

An opera and concert singer, Negrete graduated at Mexico’s National Conservatory of Music. He’s sung with many Symphony Orchestras and starred Big Operas in Mexico: Il Barbiere di Siviglia, I Pagliacci, Tosca, Carmen, Turandot, Aida, Don Giovanni,  Montezooma, also classical works such as Carmina Burana and Totenkinder Lieder.

In Europe he’s performed concerts in Madrid, Gradada, Paris, Frankfurt and Munich, also in South and Central America. In the United States, he’s sung at Charlotte,Tucson, Arizona, New York, Irving (Dallas), Chicago; in California with Mariachi Champaña Nevín. In addition, he has sung operetta including roles in The Merry Widow, Zehn Maedchen und kein Mann, The Fantasticks.
Also an accomplished actor, he has appeared in movies, soap operas and documentaries. Negrete studied, as a grant recipient, at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts Mozarteum in Salzburg. He received an Honor Diploma at the National Singer Competition Carlo Morelli and has taken master classes in Italy with Francesca Scaini.

He speaks (and sings) in five languages: Spanish, English, Italian, French and German.
