Mission Statement
Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Ensembles’ mission is to offer young musicians an exceptional educational experience by providing the finest quality orchestral training and performance opportunities in Sonoma County. Our goal is for young musicians to develop an awareness and appreciation of great music in the context of learning responsibility and teamwork, while they participate in our community through public
performance. Students can begin instruments as young as five years old at our Summer Music Academy, and remain in our training programs as they excel, into their first years of college.

Santa Rosa Symphony’s vision is to create one of the nation’s leading regional symphony orchestras, recognized as a model of artistic vibrancy, educational leadership, fiscal vitality, and community engagement.
Our Youth Ensembles are back starting this week!! We are so excited about all of our groups, seeing familiar faces and meeting new friends 🎶 Three levels of full orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, String Chamber Orchestra, and String workshops!

First weekend completed! Two more days of auditions on August 24th and 25th before results are released and the youth ensembles` season begins on September 5th, 7th and 9th~

We teamed up with Herbert Slater`s music program at the school`s orientation this morning to get the word out about our ensembles 🎶
It was great to say hi to familiar faces and meet new students! The air was buzzing with new school year excitement and the sound of multiple power washers cleaning the pavement (today???) 🫠
We wish HSMS a great start to your school year (and hope you join our extracurricular ensembles!). Thank you Ms. Williams for having us!

Auditions are on Aug 17, 18, 24, and 25.
