@srsymphony hosted the Association of California Symphony Orchestras (@acso_gram) 2026 conference in downtown Santa Rosa! 🍇🌲🎶 Our Institute for Music Education staff team got to meet and share knowledge with fellow orchestral edu admin, faculty, and community supporters.
A highlight was getting to bring a few of our SRSYO members to the conference. 🙌 A string chamber ensemble from SRSYO performed Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence at the conference`s closing plenary. They got to meet Pulitzer Prize-winning composer @gabrielalenafrank too! SRSYO had performed her piece "Apu: Tone Poem for Orchestra" last season. What a treat!
It was great to be the host organization, see familiar faces and meet new ones, and expand our communal knowledge together. Shoutout to the ACSO photo booth too u a real one 📸
Part 3: rehearsals for all six youth ensembles start in September. We can`t wait for this new exciting season!
