Edmond Fong, violin
Edmond Fong, a second violinist in the Santa Rosa Symphony, was born and raised in San Francisco. He started playing the piano and violin at the young age of 7. He graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Music. Edmond has been playing with the Santa Rosa Symphony since 1978. In addition to playing for the Santa Rosa Symphony, he has also performed with the Napa Valley Symphony, Fremont Symphony, Berkeley Symphony, Marin Symphony, Stockton Symphony, California Symphony, Ukiah Symphony, and Monterey Bay Symphony.
He was a Systems Administrator for the Social Security Administration until he retired in 2013. In his spare time, Edmond enjoys listening to classical music, rebuilding and repairing computers, and teaching privately.
