Discovery Rehearsal Series

Sit where you like for this casual and affordable way to enjoy classical music!

During these working rehearsals, the stops and starts provide a unique perspective on the creative dynamic between conductor and orchestra. The open seating is also a great opportunity to try a different seat for each concert to find your favorite.

“My husband and I love the Saturday [rehearsals] … We get to hear that special process between conductor and musicians.”
– Chris Ramond, SRS Discovery Series Subscriber

The concert program, during the Discovery Rehearsals, will be rehearsed at the discretion of the conductor to do what’s best to be prepared for Saturday evening’s performance. There will be stops and starts and it is not guaranteed pieces on the program will be performed in their entirety or in order.

Please note: there will not be a December 2023 Discovery Rehearsal as the singers for Handel’s Messiah need to preserve their voices for the evening performance. We don’t want you to miss a single beat, for the December concert only, we offer you Saturday or Monday evening ticket(s), at no extra charge to you. Please call Patron Services to let us know which day you prefer.
