ello everyone. My name is Julia 
Wilkinson, and I’m beginning 
my second term as president of 
our wonderful Symphony League. 
The League members enjoy the 
symphony’s music and are devoted 
to supporting and promoting 
music education. We are privileged 
here in Sonoma County to have 
a symphony organization that 
actively supports music education.
The League’s main mission is to support music education. 
We do this by hosting fundraising events centered 
around music. The money we raise goes directly to music 
education through the symphony’s many education 
programs. 
One League activity that we particularly enjoy, and that 
is also enjoyed and appreciated by the musicians, is 
providing rehearsal refreshments during the musicians’ 
rehearsal breaks. Our two VPs of Support Service, Lyn 
Varrow and Cynthia Newcomb, do a great job of ensuring 
all rehearsals are covered. Our musicians, many of whom 
come from considerable distances, enjoy the delicious 
offerings, and we get a chance to visit with them.
I’m looking forward to a productive and enjoyable year.  
We have a great and dedicated group of volunteers and are 
always looking for like-minded individuals to join us.
