Of Myths & Masters

February 6, 7 & 8, 2027

Orchestral splendor takes center stage as the Symphony performs Strauss’ fiery Don Juan, a tone poem of swashbuckling adventure and unbridled passion. Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 is a masterpiece of chaotic fun and cinematic flair that remains one of the most recognizable works in all of music. Young prodigy Mio Imai performs Sibelius’s emotionally complex Violin Concerto with depth and vision. Shuying Li’s The Phoenix Ascends provides a dazzling and contemporary exclamation point.
